The role:

We are looking for a One-to-One Teacher / Researcher/ Writer to deploy the Learning Seeds approach directly to children and collaborate with us to further build the platform. You'll provide high-level one to one support for a child to provide real-world social skills coaching in inclusive preschool and playground settings. You'll have paid weekly remote hours to document and share what really works, to beta test software and inform our edtech tool development. You'll get to combine active teaching with a role that lets you reflect, write, innovate, and collaborate with Learning Seeds leadership to build tools that help everyone thrive in the teachable moment!


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Support young children, sometimes with a diagnosis of autism, during their peer interactions at school, home, and play.
  • Document and share techniques that enhance our novel Enlightened Shadowing approach to supporting play.
  • Collaborate with children, parents, and teammates while remaining flexible and curious.
  • Respond respectfully, warmly, and deliberately when helping young children form a new habit or try a new experience.
  • Engage one-to-one with a focus on helping the child form relationships with other adults, peers, the environment. 
  • Actively contribute to the development of new tools that help teachers document and plan for play-based learning.
  • Actively absorb feedback and constantly strive to attain high expectations.
  • Contribute to the creation of best practice approaches for Social emotional learning.
  • Work closely with the Learning Seeds team to influence future product development.
  • Coordinate with the Learning Seeds management team on strategic planning for future initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working with young children in an education focused setting
  • Adept at one on one interaction with young children during play
  • Proficient with basic technology (mobile apps, online calendars, spreadsheets, websites)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening and customer service skills

Share our social-habit strategies and proprietary content with a wider audience to help educators and parents of children with special needs use our techniques to spark joy and learning through play.

Video Fellowships

Use your skills and gear to capture video footage of our playground demo days or our social teaching in action. Design a project to capture great teaching, new friendships, and the joy of play. You'll produce video content that you can use to expand your portfolio as well as building a library of content that will help us reach children, parents, and teachers on our waitlist or in our global audience.

Practice your skills in online course design, grant writing, pursuing startup opportunities, or developing partnerships that help Learning Seeds achieve the goal of helping children we never get to meet through support of teachers and parents we don't personally train.
