Our Software Overview

Software that Solves Daily Realities

The Grid is software Learning Seeds developed to solve daily realities for preschool staff, teachers, and specialists. It acts as a recommendation engine, delivering specific, personalized strategies (“Tips”) about how to respond to children during challenging situations. Tips include unique, creative ideas and language prompts, which educators can use right away to create opportunities for children to practice social skills and have positive social interactions.

Increasing the Number of Positive Experiences Children Have

Instead of requiring dialogue to change minds, we help children most when we increase the number of positive experiences they have in school and at play. Each time educators revisit our program, they're immersed in a rich framework inviting reflection on each child's needs and strengths.

Teaching Social Skills, Not by Changing Minds, But By Changing Social Habits

For educators working in child care centers, inclusive schools, and with neurodiverse learners, our job-embedded coaching delivers support when it’s needed for responding to day to day situations that arise in all children’s group behavior. Educators, using the 1000+ field-tested Tips from The Grid, are able to increase the amount of positive play practice children have.

EdTech Tools That Serve—Not Replace—Teachers

We help teachers feel like Batman! Having our useful tools at their fingertips augments and empowers them while they support their students. Instead of turning teachers into robots restrained by automaticity, our tools support teachers’ decision-making by providing suggested solutions, and organizing new ideas for the teacher's tool belt.

The Grid is Personalized Job-Embedded Coaching

The Grid puts the power in an educator's hands to identify:

1) what they are observing in a child's motivation, and

2) what experiences they want the child to have.

The Grid then provides the educator with a personalized journey through a database of 1000's of real world examples which the educator can use to deliver individualized support to the child during interaction and play.

Sample Tip: Grab 2, Give 1

Grab 2, Give 1 is a Tip used when a child wants an object, and a peer wants the same object. With this simple strategy, an educator can transform a moment of competition into an opportunity to initiate play with a peer.

Beta Testing and Data Collection

Schools and childcare centers partner with us by being research sites. While The Grid supports their educators in their work with children, the schools’ contributions and UX feedback informs the development of our software.
